A booklet of work designed for transition years and literacy style interventions for weaker students. While aimed at Year 7 transition groups it does well for a good year 5/6 or a weaker year 8/9. The booklet takes students through the mystery of the Highwayman and encourages to read the poems, letters and profiles of the people involved. They must in turn help determine and catch the real Highwayman through a range of their literacy skills. The resource is a good quality intervention or short unit of work designed to be engaging and themed around events and locations in history. Not sure?
